2. Category of Problem/Issue identified in article: Health/Medical

3. Level of problem/issue: National Level

4.A potential policy that is being considered to help a problem/issue that individuals/families face

5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR How does this affect individuals/families:
This is important to all those immigrants who have been in America for years trying to get their citizenship.  It affects them in a positive way because they can become American citizens and have more opportunities.

6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
I think that it is great that Obama wants to push to get this immigrant agenda going.  There should have been a hearing in Congress about this, but did not happen because of the unexpected government shutdown.  Now that the government is up and running, Obama wants to discuss his goal and get it done by the end of the year.  The article states that the Democratic-controlled Senate passed an immigration bill earlier this year, but the GOP have been seen as dim.  Obama talks about how the plan is not to politically win, but to win for the U.S. economy and the American people and the businesses that are represented here. I think that it is great that the agenda is going to be heard soon, it has been on the back burner for way too long. The fact that obama states that it is not for a political win will hopefully open the minds of the GOP to hear out his agenda and make a compromise and pass a bill by the end of the year.  There are immigrants, such as those that work in the fields that truly deserve citizenship.  And given citizenship, they can finally get better working conditions, better pay, and better opportunities for themselves as well as their families.
