4. This article is concerning: A problem/issue that individuals/families face

5. This article affects individuals that attend or work in Dallas ISD schools because discipline problems are at a high. District officials are trying to determine the best way at fixing this soar in disciplinary issues in students. District officials are concerned that the way they decide to handle disciplinary issues will cause negative effects within the Dallas schools.

6. My views on this disciplinary issue is that the Dallas ISD district officials need to handle the issue quickly and effectively. In the article it talks about if they were to add more rules into the schools that it is possible that the dropout rate will increase. I agree with this statement and I also feel that adding more rules will be unfair to the students that follow the rules and behave. I also believe that adding more rules could possible make the disciplinary problem increase. I think that sending students to alternative schools is the most effective thing that the ISD has going for them as of now. I think by sending students that have broken the rules to alternative schools makes their life inconvenience and can make them want to behave better so they do not have to be so inconvenienced. I also think by sending students with disciplinary problems keeps the atmosphere of the school they attend more positive and this in turn creates a better school experience for those students that are behaving.
