NY Times: House Passes Spending Bill That Would Cut Health Funds, Drawing Obama's Scorns

1. http://nyti.ms/1gI2okm

2. Category of Problem/Issue identified in article: Health/Medical

3. Level of Problem/Issue: National

4. An “enacted” policy that has been passed to help with a problem/issue that individuals/families face

5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR how does this affect individuals/families? If Congress can't cut ObamaCare completely, then they claim that they will issue a government shut down. This will affect all of us but mostly small businesses, our military, and government employees.

6. What are your views on the issue/policy? Honestly, I don't think Congress will actually shut down the government. It's just a threat, much like last year. We haven't had a government shut down at all in our history. It really seems like Congress is extremely desperate to get rid of ObamaCare. Obama has already said that he won't negotiate the act so now Congress is actually threatening to issue a government shut down. Of course there are politics behind it but on October 1st, Obama's new part of the act is supposed to go into affect. If a government shut down happens on September 30, then obviously Obama's plan won't go into effect. I really feel like this happens all the time and they just need to all sit down and come up with a solution because these children's games are affecting the American people. They need to put their politics and biases aside and help the American people. Unfortunately, this will probably not get resolved until 11:59pm September 30; much like me turning in this blog.
