Advocacy groups, providers sue Texas over new abortion restrictions
2. Category of Problem/issue identified in article: health/medical
3. Level of problem/issue is state level
4. This article is concerning A problem/issue that individuals/families face
5. This issue is important to women who want the choice in going through an abortion or not. This issue also effects hospitals and physicians by inconveniencing them.
6. My views on these issues are pretty simple. Although I am not a fan of abortion I still believe that women should have the choice in getting one or not. I believe that this law makes getting an abortion more difficult for women, physicians, and hospitals. The article stated, "Each hospital can have different qualifications for obtaining privileges, including a minimum number of surgical hours logged, board certification, and personal preference." I believe that this in turn will cause physicians to be unable to work sometimes and it has the possibility of making things hectic at the hospitals. I believe the suit that is being filed has good claims and should be considered.
