Global Warming Linked to 2012's Wild Weather

2) Category of Problem/Issue: Environment

3) Level of Issue: World

4) Problem/Issue that Individuals/Families face:
Considering this is the only planet we can survive on at the moment, the condition of our planet good or bad, would affect EVERYONE. Although the article states that 2012's wild weather can be a result of man-made global warming, it is not directly linked. Either way, it is somehow linked to our doing and if there is a way to prevent it, it needs to be done so that we are able to survive. Extreme weather would cause devastation to many.

5) Why this is important to individuals/families OR How does this affect individuals/families:
The issue the article focuses on is based off of recent studies claiming that this past years natural disasters and extreme weather was very highly related to the effects of man-made global warming, but not directly linked. Although it has not been directly linked to disasters such as Sandy, flooding in China, droughts in the U.S., and many other disasters we've all seen this past year, studies have shown that it is a major component.
My personal opinion of the situation is that we have to become more proactive and try to create more solutions to maintain what we have now while we can. Even if global warming is not directly causing all of these disasters, it is proven to be one of the main factors and we should do whatever we can to help fix it while we can before its too late.
