Judge Says New Jersey Can Begin Allowing Same-Sex Marriages in Two Weeks

5. This policy is very important step for the gay community not only in New Jersey but at a national level.
6. As for the Gay community, many of their rights were taken away just for their sexual orientation. When a soldier is gay, and fights for our freedom, comes back alive and is just dreaming and hoping some way, some how she/he were able to legally get married and share the same benefits all heterosexual couples have. They as citizens have the same right as all of us to get what they have earned. I never knew how bad the situation was, as a couple not being able to share your benefits with your loved one. Not being able to take care of them when they are very ill because of the insurance not able to cover them. Well what New Jersey approved is definetley a step in the right direction. Not as just as a state but as a nation.
