National salmonella outbreak sickens 300 people, including five Texans

2. National Level

3. Health

4. This issue effects consumers that have consumed or own Foster Farms chicken products

5. This issue is important for anybody that lives in the U.S that consumes or plans to consume Foster Farms chicken products. Foster Farms has been identified to be the cause of the national salmonella outbreak that is going right now.

6. In my opinion what is being done for this salmonella outbreak is minimal. Yes we have linked Foster Farms to the salmonella outbreak but I think it is ridiculous that there has not been a recall on their products. It is obviously become a nation wide issue because 300 people in 18 different states have become ill or even hospitalized. In the article it says that if you cook the chicken thoroughly that it should be fine to eat but do you even want to risk it? I personally don't and I believe that by not recalling this product is only going to cause more illnesses. What if some of the consumers out there do not have the resources and are not aware of Foster Farms being identified as the cause of the salmonella issue and they buy it in the stores and end up getting deathly ill. I just think it is ridiculous that even with the amount of people getting salmonella the product is still on the shelves! RECALL FOSTER FARMS!
