3.  State Level

            4. A potential policy that is being considered to help a problem/issue that individuals/families face

5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR How does this affect individuals/families:
This potential policy is important to individuals because the stricter regulations will force abortion clinics to close or stop offering the procedure. This could be negative for Texas women making it harder to travel and being held on a waiting list.

6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
My view is that they shouldn’t make it so strict for women to get abortions because at the end of the day it’s their choice that they have live with for the rest of their lives. There are different situations that a woman goes through like abuse or rape that can highly affect their decision. If they are not able to get an abortion they are stuck with a constant reminder of a terrifying experience that is unfair to a child that is born into that kind of situation. Although I could not imagine myself getting an abortion, I’m not totally against it because it’s up to individuals to make that choice. Now there are others that abuse the use of abortions and use that option instead of using contraceptives, I am completely against those individuals. If they become stricter along the lines of only leaving several abortion clinics available to do the procedure it would be worse for everyone parents, immature couples, women, kids, etc. I know others feel strong about killing a possible human being but us as human beings have the right to make our own decisions. This could actually be a dangerous issue because If someone is not able to legally get an abortion trust me they will find any way possible. I strongly hope that this won’t lead to babies being found left in public alone or found somewhere in dumpsters.
