5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR
How does this affect individuals/families?
During the IndyCar race there was a major crash that injured drivers and spectators. A car launched into a steel catch fence, parts from the car and the shredded catch fence flew into a spectator area. Debris scattered on the track and several cars driving through the mess were also damaged.
6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
I think it is very dangerous that race car fans have experienced such injuries from something that suppose to be safe to the audience at least. I actually like to see races and it frightens me that something like this happened from my hometown. It makes me feel like it could have been me getting injured by just spectating, hopefully there is something the motorsports companies will create something to protect the audience.
