5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR How does this affect individuals/families?
A large number of the fatalities involve children in car seats over the years. Auto safety experts say the numbers could be much lower with easier-to-use car seats and better instructions on how to strap them into vehicles.
6. How do you feel about the issue?
I feel that it is great they are trying to provide a program to educate people more about their children's safety. Parents and care givers can be the first line of defense by ensuring their children are correctly secured in the right seat for their size and age. Although it seems so easy to just strap children in but majority of parents are strapping improperly. Since it is not safe to only use a seat belt because it leaves the top of the car seat unsecured. I'm glad that automakers are getting involved by providing anchors and fasteners to make the car seats easier to install in vehicles. This issue has also helped people to analyze different car seats more closely before purchase because they want to make sure they make sure they make the right decision for their child's safety.
