Education
National
An enacted policy that has been passed to help with a problem/issue that individuals/families face

I believe this is important because it focuses on a major part in our education system. This also reflects on the future of the U.S. when it comes to our education and how we have progressed intellectually.

I think that raising the standards and difficulty of the GED test is a positive thing. I think that the people that want to take this test should be challenged. These people should not just think it is going to be an easy ride to just go and get their diploma by simply taking a standardized test. I understand that there is a lot of fear from teachers and instructors that less people will be able to pass this exam with the changes. I think that this fear is a good thing. This test shouldn’t be something easy to get through, and there should be a fear for people that are looking into getting there GED this way. I believe though, that with the heightened standards of this test, that there will be more demand for aids in preparing for the exam. This will also lead to more money to be spent on funding the study tools and tutoring for both schools and the people that are choosing to take the exam. All in all, I think that this is a good move. This will help to reach out to the people that are really striving to better themselves in taking this exam, and receiving their GED. It will really show who’s willing to put in the work, and then be rewarded for it.
