2. Category of Problem/Issue identified in article: immigration

3. Level of problem/issue: National

4.A potential policy that is being considered to help a problem/issue that individuals/families face

5. Why this is important to individuals/families OR How does this affect individuals/families:
This is important to all immigrants that are currently living in the United States.  This affects those wanting to gain citizenship.

6. What are your views on the issue/policy?
My views is that I think that it is great the the #DREAM Army are trying to raise awareness of the immigration issue.  On Wednesday the Congressional Hispanic Caucus called Republican leaders to allow a vote on a comprehensive immigration bill that includes a path to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants who are already living in the United States.  The representative of San Antonio,  Joaquin Castro stated that "immigration reform affects not just Latinos and minorities, but people of all walks of life because of the economic impact."  I think that it is something that has been put in the back burner for long enough, and there needs to be something done soon! Giving immigrants the right to become American citizens can boost our economy as well as give them a better chance at making something of themselves.  They'll have a better chance of going to school and getting a degree and making an income enough to live the American Dream.  There was a case already where an immigrant with a green card had successfully finished law school but was not able to practice law because he was not an American Citizen.  I think that he has the right because America is the only placed he remembered living in and earned the right to practice.  Something needs to be done!
