4.      This article is concerning any issue that both individuals and families face

5.      This issue affects individuals and family because of the severe drought that Central Texas has been consumed by. Although the rain is nice, too much of it can be a bad thing and we are expecting more.

6.      Rain, Rain, Go away. Come again… wait! Central Texas has been in an extreme drought for years now. We are all thankful for this rain, right? Well most are, but the city of Austin has encountered many problems since the “monsoon” that hit last Wednesday. Personally, from living in San Marcos and not having to drive very far to get to my destinations, this weeklong rain fall has been extremely nice and much needed. Not to mention it brought a cold front in with it! However, it has been relatively a lot of rain for an area that has not seen rainfall in quite some time. As a result, Austin has experienced some troublesome problems with the flooding. In my opinion, the city needs to try and get these problems under control before we get too much rain. As reported in the article, the city of Austin is expected to see more rain on Friday with another slight cold front heading in. Because the city has been dry for so long, you would think that the soil would soak it right up, but that is not the case. Luckily, none of the tropical depressions from the Gulf have targeted towards Texas or Austin probably would have encountered this problem sooner. Flooding is not a rare occurrence in Austin, though. The number one natural disaster that occurs in this city is flooding problems. Wouldn’t you think that the city would have fixed it by now? Hopefully the city of Austin gets together in the near future to determine some strategies in regards to water drainage and flooding prevention.
